Michelle Martinez (she/her) is an actress and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She is the creator of the award-winning short film, Hit Me Up and many other works including films and short-form content for digital platforms. Michelle is a multi-hyphenate creative with experience working on both the production side of the television & film industry, and in front of the camera. Her directorial work has screened at film festivals internationally and received numerous awards. Michelle’s most recent projects focus on themes of wellness, coming-of-age, relationships, and exploration of consciousness.

Michelle is a first-generation Dominican-American raised in a big, loving family in New Jersey. Her passion for storytelling began in childhood and she is the first in her family to pursue an artistic career. Michelle loves to travel, has visited eight different countries, completed a semester abroad in England studying TV writing, and has screened her work at Cannes Film Festival in France as part of the Short Film Corner. It brings her joy to connect with other humans through art and shared passions.
